We enjoyed our dinner so Much. Jorge Cuervo (the owner) spent 20 minutes chatting with us about the history of his family and the dishes they serve that have been handed down through the family. Everything we had was exceptional. The Al Pastor margarita was the best we have had anywhere. Jorge finished off our meal with a little of his uncles “moonshine”. We enjoyed ourselves so much we returned two days later for the tequila experience and meal. It was just us and another couple. They shut down the restaurant for these tastings. The whole experience lasts 2 hours, but the time flies by as Jorge educates you about tequila. The types, the process, the history. It’s all so wonderful. You can really see the passion he has about tequila and the important role his family played in its evolution. Go- you won’t be disappointed!

The best seafood i have ever had. The octopus was incredible. The bean soup, tortilla soup, and the flaan/brownie was also incredible. My drink was great, along with the different tequila shots Jorge had recommended. It was just out table of 10 in the restaurant and the staff was extremely attentive towards us. Would recommend to anyone looking for an intimate dinner either their group with fantastic food and service.

We did the tequila tasting and it by far exceeded my expectations. I've done other alcohol tastings before but never came away with an appreciation and true liking for the spirit until today's experience. I actually enjoyed sipping the alcohol, learning about what goes in to making good tequila, how to pair it and what to look for on the label to ensure you're getting a good quality brand of the spirit. The location is small but quaint, Jorge was very friendly, unbiased in his education and we all had great conversation. Our group was very happy we ended our long and busy day with this experience and we would highly recommend coming and checking it out.

Always our favorite restaurant while in Cabo. This is a must if you are visiting! Excellent food! Fantastic service! Check out the tequila tastings by Jorge. You will be so impressed by his knowledge of tequila. What a great way to spend an evening. You won’t be disappointed.

This was one of the best dinner experiences I've had in San Jose Del Cabo. Jorge Cuervo was an amazing host. Check this place out if you're in town. Make reservations though, it's a quaint and very personal establishment.

In a word: spectacular. Cuervo’s house has incredible authentic Mexican food and top notch service. This restaurant is located a five minute walk from the town centre Plaza Mijares in San Jose del Cabo. It has an authentic feel with its exposed brick walls, wooden tables and colourful design. The owner, Jorge Cuervo, is a direct descendant from Jose Cuervo, the well known tequila brand, and also specializes in tequila tastings. His family’s history going back 11 generations is up on the way and he took the time during dinner service to humbly describe his family roots and their cultural impact on tequila in Mexico. Jorge and his staff were kind and considerate. This meal felt more like we had been invited to his family home than eating out!! The food here is spectacular. The food is authentic Mexican, not Mexicali. The menu has recipe that have come from his family, and many of the servers are family members. The Mexican platter was a huge assortment of food - chile relleno, tamales, sopes, enchiladas, tacos and steak with guacamole on the side - we would highly recommend it! We got multiple for the group. The other dish of special mention was the Ajillo octopus which was plated beautifully and had perfect texture and seasoning. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you Jorge for such a wonderful New Years Eve meal!

My favorite place to visit in San Jose del Cabo. I travel to Cabo twice a year and every time I visit, I make sure to go to Cuervo’s House—sometimes more than once per trip! Why? An amazing gourmet meal, customer service that is second to none, and the margaritas? Incredible. The owner Jorge goes out of his way to make each customer feel like they are VIP. I’ve never met anyone more knowledgeable about tequila. His tequila tasting is an education like no other. Who is better qualified to teach you about tequila than the great grandson of the founder of tequila? Visit him on your vacation and you will leave with a new friend and plans to return next time.

We came here for a private tequila tasting class and dinner with Jorge Cuervo. It was such a cool and unique experience! We learned so much about the Cuervo family, history, and authenticity of tequila. And the food was fantastic! Jorge is an extremely knowledgeable and personable guy! Highly recommend!
